CONSTANTA 'ETHNIC MOSAIC' WALKING TOUR

Tour description: Constanta is a two- millennia old city striving to find its rightful place in the 21st century. Its historical quarter bears the marks of all the various peoples and ethnic groups that lived here throughout the centuries. Fifty years of communism scattered them across the globe – some went back to their countries, others crossed the ocean to find their freedom, a few stayed behind to keep the community together.
Our walking tour will take you into the narrow streets of the historical district of Constanta and we will discover the secret of this amazing mix of cultures and civilizations. Walk past the Greek Orthodox Church, the Armenian Church, the Jewish Synagogue and Turkish Mosque to reach the Catholic Church right next door to the Romanian Orthodox Cathedral. Relax by the statue of the great Roman poet Ovid, take your time and sip a cup of coffee in front of the beautiful building of the Archaeological Museum and then head to the Black Sea shores to see the grandiose Casino and its lovely promenade.
